Alternatives to Reading Logs

Being in a book club requires accountability. In our book club, we have used reading logs to track the time and pages read. HOWEVER, there are book club members who are creative and artistic and need another way to demonstrate their enjoyment of reading.

  • Create a skit with friends and video your favorite scene. Have FUN!

  • Find a Reading Buddy and journal together. Write about your favorite moments to each other.

  • Partner with a family member of friend and have a book talk. Bring your favorite snack!

Bookopolis is a great resource for tracking reading time and pages. It is an online tool that engages readers and a fun way to discuss books. Reading enthusiasts can write book reviews and make recommendations. What a great social network for our young readers!!
